Can we bring our own decorations and flowers?

Absolutely — Nerissa is your private venue for the day, and we’re happy to help you personalize it for your celebration. Because Nerissa is such a beautiful yacht with 360-degree views of the bay, we’ve found that very little decoration is needed to make it feel special — especially when you have catering displayed on board. Often all it takes is a small, pre-strung “Happy Birthday” or “Congratulations” banner strung across the two posts in the bar area, which makes for a really warm welcome as guests step aboard.
So that everything looks its best and stays safe on the water, all decorations are coordinated through our manager in advance — just send your plans our way and we’ll make it work.

A few simple guidelines:
Welcome: fresh or silk florals, a small banner or sign, table accents, and some freestanding décor.
Please avoid: glitter, confetti, and loose flower petals — anything that scatters and is hard to fully clean on the water.
A note on balloons: we kindly ask that balloons be left ashore. Out on the open water they have a way of escaping into the bay no matter how careful we are, and they’re genuinely harmful to the sea lions and marine life we get to enjoy on every cruise — we pull far too many out of the ocean as it is. We’d rather keep our beautiful bay and its wildlife pristine for everyone.
Non-damaging only: removable, non-marking methods, please — no nails, staples, or surface-damaging tape.
Flameless only: for safety at sea, candles must be battery or LED rather than open flame.
