Marina Cortez
The Nerissa, Ohana Pacific, and Suite Paradise Houseboat are all docked at Marina Cortez on Harbor Island. Marina Cortez is centrally located, just minutes from downtown San Diego and the airport. As a lodging guest on our houseboat, you have full usage of the pool, parking and laundry facilities at the marina.
There is really nothing quite like the ambiance of being around all the boats and yachts in the marina. Views of Spanish Landing and Shelter Island can be seen from our houseboat.
The marina has an on-site deli / convenience store. There are also several casual and fine dining restaurants within walking distance. Of course, there is always delivery service as well.
Parking for 1 car is free for our overnight guests on the Suite Paradise Houseboat with a provided parking pass. Free shuttles run between the Sheraton Bay Tower and San Diego Airport if you don’t mind a short walk to the marina.
Harbor Island Park
Right across the street from the Marina Cortez is a charming little park called Harbor Island Park. The park is located right at the water’s edge of San Diego Bay. From here you have a complete panoramic view of the San Diego seaport, the city skyline, Navy Air Base on North Island, the Coronado Bay Bridge and Coronado Island.
Additionally, there is a walking/jogging path that follows around all of Harbor Island. This is a beautiful place for a morning run, leisurely walk or watching the sun rise or set. It is common to see our Navy’s ships go in and out of port as well as cruise and cargo ships. Various regattas take place in our bay which is always fun to watch as well.
